Rachel and Alin’s celebration of love!
WOWSAS!!! I’m a bit late to the party in sharing this wedding but I need to because it was so flipping FANTASTIC!!
From the word go I knew that these two beauties would be planning a wedding party to remember. We met for a drink in Whitstable at Easter time and hit it off straight away. Rachel excitedly explaining all the details of the day that they were going to make super personal, and Alin with the biggest smile sharing his ideas for their party. It was a day with everything; big bold colour, love, laughter, quiet tender moments of connection, creativity, dancing, joy, happy tears and much much more!
We started their unusually warm May wedding day with Rachel and her girls at an airbnb in Peckham. They were all pulling together to do hair and make up and the atmosphere was already so full of love! Then on went ‘THE’ cape… Rachel’s incredible pink, red and white cape of dreams!! I could have taken photos of just the cape all. day. long…!!! After tearing myself away, I then walked 10 minutes up the road to join Alin and his groomsmen to get in the taxi to Southwark Registry Office, and in the car they were playing a rather hilariously timed song “Are you still down?”
After being dropped off and a quick shot of tequila by Alin, their intimate and beautifully personal ceremony took place. Rachel said how much she loved the ceremony images because of how happy everyone looked and their emotional and Hand written vows just about finished me off too.
After the ceremony we all headed to the bus stop on foot to travel back to the reception venue, Watsons General Telegraph in Peckham, where we were greeted to the most epic crowd and the wildest confetti line (or mass) I have ever seen! These two had worked their butts off to decorate the pub in the most joyful and colourful way. Every corner was filled with handmade decorations, streamers, disco balls and jazzy candles all over the place. It was amazing, the venue was completely transformed.
The food was banging, the cake was INSANE and the speeches were brilliant. The band started in the early evening to get everyone on the dance floor and boy did it work, followed by the DJ playing some of my personal favourite electro swing tunes. I didn’t want to leave. Huge congratulations you lovely pair! I wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, great travels and joyus cape times!
“In all truth I don't know where to start in writing words to describe how in utter admiration and absolute gratitude we are to Becci for capturing our wedding day. Becci is a DREAM, her warm and bubbly persona lights up any room and we immediately clicked when we began speaking about our wedding plans.
Becci just got us, we thrived on the same bouncing energy and she was the most perfect photographer, slotting into our pub party with so much charisma and ease. Her skills in capturing all of the emotions of the day were second to none; translating the energy, the colour and the utter joy into perfect pictures. From the buzz of the getting ready, to the fun fluidity of our ceremony, to the hype of our confetti entrance, to the emotional flows of the speeches, to the bouncing of the party that followed - Becci captured the beauty of the entire day and beyond! I couldn't be more thankful for how she created such easy breaks too for Alin and I to soak in a moment together, without missing any of the party and celebrations.
Becci is THE hype woman you want by your side for the best day of your life - and the fact she is capturing it all makes for a phenomenal gallery delivery. I can't stop looking through the photos of our day, I am obsessed with them and how our fabulously fun celebrations are eternally recorded.”
